Online sessions are also available.

I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist working with adults. I offer face-to-face therapy at The Henry Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, and in Norwich, as well as online.
I hold an MA in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the University of Essex and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I offer a thoughtful, confidential and non-judgemental space in which you can explore difficulties at your own pace. People come to therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, trauma and emotional distress, or simply a sense that something in life does not feel quite right.
I have particular experience working with LGBTQ+ clients and welcome those wishing to explore identity, relationships, sexuality and belonging.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is based on the idea that our present feelings, relationships and ways of coping are often shaped by earlier experiences, some of which may not be immediately obvious to us.
In therapy, we pay attention to what is happening in your life now, while also becoming curious about recurring patterns, emotions and relationships.
The aim is not simply to manage symptoms, but to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and create the possibility of lasting change.
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step. I aim to make the process of getting started as straightforward and unpressured as possible.
Send me a message with a little about what brings you to therapy and your availability.
We will usually meet for two or three initial sessions to think together about what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels right.
If we decide to continue, we will agree a regular weekly session time and begin the work of therapy together.
I offer weekly psychodynamic psychotherapy at a regular agreed time. The initial assessment usually takes place over two or three sessions, after which we can decide together whether ongoing therapy feels appropriate.
50-minute session
The first two or three sessions form an initial assessment period. Payment for the first two sessions is requested 24 hours in advance of each appointment.
Weekly at a regular agreed time; payment is made after each session.
If you are considering therapy and would like to find out whether working together might be right for you, you are welcome to get in touch.
You don’t need to know exactly what to say or give a detailed account of what has been happening. A brief message and your general availability are enough to begin
I aim to respond to enquiries within 48 hours.
